DHL Becomes Official Global Logistics Partner

The FIA has officially announced a strategic partnership with DHL, naming the logistics giant its Global Logistics Partner across Formula 1, Formula 2, and Formula 3. The collaboration was unveiled during the FIA Sustainability Innovation Series at Silverstone, ahead of the British Grand Prix — and it marks a major step in motorsport’s push toward operational efficiency and environmental responsibility.

Sustainability in Motion

As part of the agreement, DHL will manage the transport, setup, and maintenance of key FIA infrastructure — including mobile office units, garages, and race-critical equipment. In Europe, DHL will deploy seven trucks powered by hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), a biofuel that reduces emissions by up to 83% compared to conventional diesel.

This initiative supports the FIA’s goal to halve its carbon footprint by 2030, aligning with its broader sustainability strategy and the rationalized race calendar designed to reduce travel distances.

Shared Values, Shared Vision

FIA Chief Commercial Officer Craig Edmondson commented:

“This partnership with DHL is a great opportunity to collaborate not only on the vital behind-the-scenes work that goes on at any track event, but also to drive sustainable practices across our industry.”

Paul Fowler, Head of Global Motorsports Logistics at DHL, added:

“We share essential values such as safety, quality, speed, and precision — and we’re both deeply committed to sustainability. Together, we champion alternative power sources and groundbreaking drive technologies.”
